This year’s Christmas must-have… The Geek Calendar!

This year’s sciencey must-have for the Santa list has to be the Geek Calendar.

This glossy homage to British nerdiness was created by über-geek Londoners, Alice Bell (Imperial College London), Louise Crane (Wellcome Trust), Greg Foot (BBC) and Mun-Keat Looi (Wellcome Trust). And, in reaction to Simon Singh‘s highcourt libel case the team are donating sale proceeds to the Libel Reform campaign.

The calendar’s science centrefolds are a cool mix of established celebu-geeks, including Brian Cox, Gia Milinovich, Ben Goldacre (The Guardian) and Roger Highfield (New Scientist) – and rising stars, including Lewis Dartnell (UCL), Hannah Devlin (The Times) and Imran Khan (CaSE).

The publication date, 21 October, will also go down in history (mark your calendar) as the moment Jonathan Ross officially came out of the geek closet – he’s Mr June 2011.

Only a couple of hundred calendars remain – so, order yours today through www.geekcalendar.co.uk.
